Paula Lupina was employed by the pharmaceutical company known respectively as the Upjohn Company, Pharmacia & Upjohn, Pharmacia, and Pfizer from 1972 – 2004. She did secretarial work for the departments of Discovery Research, Global Operations, and Facilities Resources.

The items, which consist of corporate publications and office supplies, came to the Regional History Archives in February, 2011 due to Lupina's moving out of the area.

The material in this series mainly consists of catalogs and price lists from the years 1893-1961. These catalogs and price lists were carried by the salesmen or "Detail men," as they were called in the pharmaceutical industry, when they went to visit physicians and pharmacists. Upjohn also provided handbooks with pertinent medical information on their products to medical internists at one point in time, and some of these are included in this series as well.

This series includes files concerning domestic and international subsidiaries of the Upjohn Company such as annual reports, correspondence, speeches, and economic reports. The main domestic subsidiary is Asgrow which was acquired by Upjohn in 1968 and is a large seed company that boosted Upjohn's presence in the Agricultural field. The international subsidiaries are everything from branch offices, large production sites, joint-ventures with foreign companies, and distribution centers.
